Azerbaijan sends note to Russia over barred mine visit

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has sent a note to Russia against the backdrop of an incident that saw a group of Azerbaijanis getting barred from entering two mines in Nagorno Karabakh, TASS reported citing the head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Aykhan Hajizade.

The ministry urged Russia, whose peacekeepers are deployed in Karabakh, to provide access for representatives of Azerbaijan to said fields, citing “previously reached agreements as a basis” for such a request.

Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan said earlier that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed only on the issue of establishing diplomatic relations.
