Armenian, France discuss culture cooperation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted the delegation led by French Minister of Culture Rima Abdul Malak on Friday, October 27.

The Prime Minister welcomed Malak's visit to Armenia and emphasized the high level and intensive nature of Armenian-French relations. Nikol Pashinyan added that the Armenian government attaches importance to the consistent development and strengthening of cooperation with France in all fields, including culture. The Prime Minister noted that the French minister's visit has a busy agenda and expressed belief that various projects will be outlined within its framework and they will be successfully implemented.

Malak added that her delegation includes a group of cultural figures, the purpose of the visit is to give a new impetus to bilateral interaction in various branches of culture, in particular, preservation of cultural heritage, music, cinema, etc. According to the minister, specific programs are being discussed with Armenian partners, and appropriate steps will be taken for their implementation in the near future.

Issues related to the protection of the Armenian historical and cultural heritage in Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed. The implementation of the necessary steps by the international community and UNESCO in this direction was emphasized.
