ARF Dashnaktsutyun plans no coup d'étatMay 7, 2009 - 21:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - ARF Dashnaktsutyun MP Artsvik Minasyan is ready to cede his position in RA NA to Heritage Faction representative, Mayoral candidate Artsvik Minasyan told a news conference in Yerevan. "I'm ready to cede my position of Deputy Head of Finance and Budget Standing Committee to Heritage Faction representative." According to Minasyan, by retaining positions in RA Parliament, Dashnaktsutyun does pursue a goal of remaining in RA Government by all means. "We believe that two positions in RA NA will enable Dashnaktsutyun to strengthen its role as a parliamentary opposition," the MP emphasized. Touching upon party's decision to leave the opposition, Artsvik Minasyan stated that Dashnaktsutyun plans no coup d'état. "We support all positive steps undertaken by RA authorities," Minasyan noted, adding that difefferences between Dashnaktsutyun and RA authorities are related both to foreign and internal policy issues.
