Trump: Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict approaching resolution

PanARMENIAN.Net - U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Armenia–Azerbaijan conflict seems to be approaching a successful resolution. Speaking at the White House during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, Trump listed several global conflicts and remarked, “And we solved another one — Armenia and Azerbaijan. It looks like that’s going to come to a conclusion, a successful conclusion.”

Trump’s comments come amid ongoing diplomatic momentum between Yerevan and Baku, including recent meetings in Abu Dhabi that signal progress toward a potential peace agreement.

Previously, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed hope that a formal peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia could be signed soon.

U.S. Ambassador Thomas Barrett in Turkey suggested the U.S. could lease a 32‑km route connecting Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan via Armenia for 100 years, proposing Washington manage it.
