Lake Sevan level rises by one centimeter

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center has published hydrological data for Lake Sevan covering the period from July 13 to July 19, 2026.

During the reporting period, the lake's water level rose by one centimeter, reaching 1,900.81 meters as of July 19. The level was 16 centimeters higher than on the same date last year and 59 centimeters higher than on January 1, 2026.

During the same period, 5.083 million cubic meters of water were transferred to Lake Sevan through the Arpa–Sevan tunnel. From January 1 through July 19, 2026, the cumulative volume transferred reached 158.017 million cubic meters.

According to data from the Geghamavan observation station on the diversion canal of the Hrazdan Hydropower Plant, 3.787 million cubic meters of water were released from Lake Sevan between July 13 and July 19, while the cumulative release from July 2 through July 19 totaled 7.224 million cubic meters.
