RA, Azeri Ambassadors to Russia visiting NKR

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian and Azerbaijani Ambassadors to Russia, Mr. Armen Smbatyan and Mr. Polad Bulbuloglu and Russian President's Envoy for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy are currently in Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno Karabakh Republic.



As a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent reports from the site, this morning the diplomats are scheduled to meet with NKR President Bako Sahakyan. Then, they will give a press conference.



Earlier, Ambassador Bulbuloglu denied the intention to visit Nagorno Karabakh. According to him, "arrival in Karabakh through the territory of Armenia and with consent of Karabakh authorities is impossible." He also insisted that if a second trip is initiated, the Azeri delegation will head for Karabakh via Azerbaijan.



The first visit of Armenian and Azerbaijani intellectuals to Stepanakert on the initiative of Ambassadors Armen Smbatyan and Polad Bulbuloglu took place on June 28, 2007.
