Armenia actively prepares for Shanghai Expo-2010 exhibitionSeptember 11, 2009 - 14:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, in cooperation with Trade Industrial Chamber and Armenian Development Agency, is intensively preparing for Shanghai Expo-2010 exhibition, Union Chair Karen Kazaryan told journalists Friday. According to him, 20-25 companies have already submitted claims for participation, and preparation work is very active since Armenian premier is also expected to visit the exhibition.Union also attracts foreign investments for covering organizational and traveling expenses. On July 2, 2009, Armenian Government approved action plan for Armenia's participation in Shanghai Expo-2010 exhibition scheduled for May-October 2010 in China. Exhibition will be held under the slogan "Prospering town, prosperous life". The event will bring together 200 countries (including CIS member states) and international organizations. China anticipates 70 million individuals' participation in the exhibition which will become the biggest in the history of mankind. To prepare for exhibition, Armenia needs a sum of about 570 million Drams which will cover costs for pavilion registration and maintenance, service staff, material publication and souvenirs, good delivery etc. Within festival frameworks Armenia will also celebrate its national holiday - Independence Day.
