Recent "clean-up" in Heritage party contradicts law

PanARMENIAN.Net - "I am still considered Vice Chair of Heritage party's managing board because decision on my removal does not comply with letter of law," former Vice Chair of "Heritage" party's managing board Movses Aristakesyan told a news conference in Yerevan.

The speaker finds that by making such decision board members breached relevant clauses of the law "On Parties". Besides, Under party's regulations, managing board is not entitled to remove a member in his absence, he added. "The board has absolutely no right to remove Vardan Khachatryan, Zoya Tadevosyan and me. Such decision can be made only during a session," Aristakesyan stressed.

Answering journalists' question on expelled party members' further plans, the speaker said that they intended to apply to Justice Ministry for having such decision recognized null and void.
