  Armenian gymnasts at the world championships in London not overcome the qualifying roundOctober 16, 2009 - 11:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian gymnasts Vahagn Stepanyan and Harutyun Merdinyan completed their programs in the qualifying round at the world championships in gymnastics in London. Vahagn Stepanyan, competing in the all-round gymnastics, in six exercises scored 82.100 points and took 32nd place among 243 participants. To participate in the finals the Armenian gymnast needed to be among 24 best. Harutyun Merdinyan, only in the "horse" discipline scored 14.300 points and took 23nd place among 123 participants. The Armenian athletes, showing not the worst results, were unable to get the final stage and dropped out of the fight in qualification of 41st World Championships in gymnastics.
