MSSO concerts - original presentation of Khachaturian's young musicians contestNovember 26, 2009 - 17:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Moscow State Symphony Orchestra concerts are original presentation of Aram Khachaturian's young musicians contest, aiming to increase its availability for larger number of participants, Armenia's Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatyan said at November 26 news conference. As MSSO Art Director Pavel Kogan reported, the contest will feature violin and cello nominations in 2010; piano and composition nominations in 2011. "Composition contest aims at discovering young and talented composers," he noted. Besides bonus prizes of USD 15 000, 10 000 and 5 000 for 1st to 3rd places, contest winners will be given a chance to perform with Moscow State Symphony Orchestra as well as Mariinsky theatre orchestra.
