Earthquake victims to be commemorated in Ukraine

PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 7, 11:00 a.m. all Armenian churches and chapels of Ukraine will hold requiem services to commemorate the victims of 1988 Spitak earthquake.



The liturgy in the Armenian chapel of Kiev will be conducted by clergyman Hovhannes Shakhnazaryan, Analitika.at.ua reports.

Every year on December 7 people in Armenia and Diaspora commemorate the victims of great disaster.



According to official data, 1988 Spitak earthquake left 25 people dead, 140 thousand crippled and 1.5 million homeless.
