Khachkar unveiled in La Plata, ArgentinaDecember 7, 2009 - 15:16 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The ceremony of unveiling of an Armenian khachkar (cross-stone) took place in La Plata, the capital of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, last Saturday. The khachkar was inaugurated near Immaculate Conception Church. The ceremony was attended by RA Ambassador to Argentina Vladimir Karmirshalyan, La Plata Mayor Oscar Pablo Bruera, Buenos Aires province council member Sergio Nahapetian, AGBU Buenos Aires President Ruben Keshishian and Armenian community representatives. A liturgy was followed by Gayane Buenos Aires-based dance ensemble's performance.
