307 corruption cases filed in Armenia over the past 9 months

PanARMENIAN.Net - 307 corruption cases were filed in Armenia over the past 9 months of 2009, RA Prosecutor General said



"69 and 390 cases were initiated in 2007 and 2008 respectively," Aghvan Hovsepyan said during the 6th conference dated to the International Anti-Corruption Day.



"As result of reforms carried out, the country now has special investigative services tasked to expose the fact of corruption, including investigation of crimes committed by high-ranking officials," he said.



Mr. Hovsepyan also stressed the importance of taking preventive measures.
