Stepan Grigoryan: Turkey will ratify protocols in December-January

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia should be the first to ratify the protocols, making Turkey responsible for normalization of ties.

"Superpowers' pressure on Ankara will soon be intensified," Stepan Grigoryan, the Head of Analytical Center on Globalization and Regional Cooperation stated. "Unless Armenia ratifies Protocols, it can also find itself under pressure, as Ankara, for its part, will try to shift the responsibility on Yerevan."

"By dragging out ratification, the parties arouse discontent of superpowers which are interested in the process," the expert noted, adding that Armenia's ratification-related actions should not be linked to those of Turkey.

At the same time, he expressed confidence that Turkey will ratify the protocols in December-January.
