Armenian NA speaker and Iranian foreign minister discuss issues of regional security

On January 27 RA NA speaker Hovik Abrahamyan met with the Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, currently attending the 9th session of the intergovernmental commission coordinating Armenian-Iranian relations held in Yerevan. During the meeting Hovik Abrahamyan highly estimated the Armenian-Iranian friendly relations and expressed hope that the meeting of the intergovernmental commission will be successful. Iranian Foreign Minister Mottaki conveyed the warm greetings of Ali Larijani, Speaker of the Iranian parliament and confirmed the readiness of the latter to pay official visit to Armenia, agreed during an official visit of Mr. Abrahamyan to Iran.



The parties also discussed issues of security and stability in the region, press office of the National Assembly of Armenia reported.
