RA Minister of Transport and US Ambassador to Armenia discuss achievements and further works

PanARMENIAN.Net - RA Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan briefed US Ambassador to Armenia Mary Jovanovich on programs' implementation, achievements and further works, the press service of the Ministry reported.

Specifically, Manuk Vardanyan emphasized the achievements in the telecommunications field, including presence of three mobile operators in Armenia, internet availability and decrease in tariffs as compared with recent years.

Besides, the Minister presented the construction project on North-South highway. At the Ambassador's request, the traffic through Upper Lars check point was also discussed. The Minister said that the check point is open, however, the traffic through it is not heavy yet, due to weather conditions.

Mr. Vardanyan also referred to the transport field, including formation of schemes of passenger traffic and parking lots.
