AZERI POLITICIANS CALL ON ALIEV TO REFUSE SUPPORT TO U.S.A. AS WASHINGTON DID NOT SUPPORT THE IDEA OF "ANTITERRORIST OPERATION" IN NKR

PanARMENIAN.Net - Alliance of political parties called "Union of Pro-Azeri Forces" demanded from the country leadership to express its attitude towards the recent statement of the U.S. Ambassador to Baku. As we have already reported, Ambassador Ross Wilson expressing the official Washington position stated in an interview to ANS television channel that beginning of "an antiterrorist operation" in Nagorno-Karabakh would not do any good to Azerbaijan. In his words, the United States will not support this action. In connection with this the leaders of the Union of Pro-Azeri Forces have raised the question of expediency of Azerbaijan's support of the action held by the Americans in Afghanistan. Chairman of "Namus" party Torgul Ibragimili says, "Wilson made it clear that Armenians are not terrorists for the U.S.A.," while "Azeri authorities stated in the course of eight years that Armenian terrorists have seized Naforno-Karabakh." "Why should Azeri authorities and nation support Americans, who do not already support us today?" - asks Ibragimili. He is convinced, "such attitude of the American Ambassador can be regarded as interference in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan."
