Gerasim Alaverdyan participated in Belagro 2010 exhibition

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s delegation led by Minister of Agriculture Gerasim Alaverdyan visited Belarus to participate in Belagro 2010 international exhibition.

During his meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Mikhail Rusy, Mr. Alaverdyan displayed interest towards output of Minsk tractor plant, establishment of its representation in Armenia and supply of spare parts, the RA MFA press service reported.

Besides, the Armenian minister expressed willingness to import seeds from Belarus, as well as export fruits, vegetables, dried fruits, mineral water and alcoholic beverages from Armenia to Belarus. Mr. Alaverdyan also offered to consider organization of joint permanent fairs of agricultural products.

For his part, Armenian Ambassador to Belarus Armen Khachatryan noted the possibility of exporting fish from Armenia to Belarus, as well as increasing the quota of Armenian brandy import to the country.

Mr. Rusy drew attention of the Armenian side to advantages of joint enterprises establishment.
