Armenian freestyle wrestlers to participate in World Wrestling Championships in Moscow

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian freestyle wrestlers led by coach Araik Baghdadyan are getting prepared for the World Championships due September 6-13 in Moscow.

Armenia will be represented by Gegham Babakhanyan (weight class 55kg), Arthur Arakelyan (weight class 60kg), European Championships bronze winner Zhirayr Hovhannisyan (weight class 66kg), Suren Markosyan (weight class 74kg), Vadim Laliyev (weight class 84kg), European Championships bronze winner Edgar Yenokyan (weight class 94kg) and silver winner Ruslan Basiyev (weight class 120kg).

Baghdadyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that the Armenian sportsmen held trainings in Makhachkala, Adler and Sochi, as well as participated in an international tournament in Spain.

“On August 27, we will leave for Belarus to conduct joint trainings with seven other teams. Then, we will leave for Moscow,” concluded Baghdadyan.
