RA government to increase financing of IT field in 2011September 9, 2010 - 17:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of High and Information Technologies Department at the RA Ministry of Economy Vache Kirakosyan said that the Armenian government will increase financing of the IT field in 2011. The drop in funds for IT development in 2010 - from AMD 200mln to AMD 80mln - was reasoned by general reductions in the budget with respect to the global economic crisis, Kirakosyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter. Besides, according to him, a huge sum was allocated for the construction of a technology park in Gyumri. “The total amount of state financing made AMD 280mln in 2010, taking into consideration the funds allocated for the technology park in Gyumri,” said Vache Kirakosyan.
