PanARMENIAN.Net - On September 21, the 39th World Chess Olympiad will kick off in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, bringing together 1,380 chess players in 150 men and 119 women teams.

In the first round, Armenia’s men ranked 6th with 2,698 points will compete with Costa Rica ranking 78th.

Armenian team leader Levon Aronyan will not play in the match.

Armenia’s women will play vs. the team of International Physically Disabled Chess Association (IPCA).
