CHAIRMAN OF UNION OF ARMENIANS OF RUSSIA AWARDED "PEACE AMBASSADOR" UN AND UNESCO HIGHEST TITLE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamian is awarded "Peace Ambassador" UN and UNESCO highest award. As a UNESCO representative told "ITAR-TASS" agency, A. Abrahamian was awarded the title "for large contribution to dialogue between civilizations and strengthening interethnic relations." It should be noted that "Peace Ambassador" is endowed with special international status and fulfills important UNESCO and UN missions. The title was earlier awarded to two Russian figures, one of which was famous musician Mstislav Rostropovich.
