No information on PACE co-rapporteurs arrival in Yerevan provided

On the evening of October 5, PACE monitoring committee launched a discussion on reforms project submitted by the Armenian authorities.

“Representatives of opposition were given a chance to present their approach on the issues of human rights and democracy in Armenia,” a member of Heritage parliamentary group and Armenian delegation to PACE, Zaruhi Postanjyan stated.

As she noted, Armen Rustamyan (ARF Dashnaktsutyun) and Arman Grigoryan (Armenian National Congress) also presented their reports on the issue.

“During the discussion, opposition representatives stated that Armenian authorities fail to fulfill obligations to PACE, which I believe, the co-rapporteurs realize too,” the parliamentarian noted.

Ms. Postanjyan provided no information as to the date of PACE co-rapporteurs John Prescott and Georges Colombier’s arrival in Yerevan.
