Armenian house of commerce to be opened in Belarus in 2011

PanARMENIAN.Net - Spokesman of the leader of Prosperous Armenia party Khachik Galstyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter that an Armenian house of commerce is planned to be opened in Belarus in 2011.

On September 30, Armenian-Belarusian house of commerce – ArBe – was open in Yerevan as part of the 8th sitting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.

Besides, Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the party and the owner of Multi Group concern, which includes Yerevan Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory, told journalists that Belarus has already allocated an area for the construction of Belarusian-Armenian brandy factory.

During his visit to Armenia, Belarusian Minister of Trade Valentin Chekanov said that the share of Armenian brandy sales in Belarus makes 38% of the entire brandy sale volume. Moldavian and other countries’ brandy is produced in Belarus as per the technology of these countries. This output is successfully sold in the market, while Belarus is going apply the same approach to Armenian brandy, the more so as there are restrictions on usage of Armenian brandy name in the Armenian legislation.

Gagik Tsarukyan said that the joint enterprise will be using alcohol imported from Armenia.
