Armenian President meets with Iranian parliamentary speaker- led delegation

PanARMENIAN.Net - On October 9, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with a delegation led by the Iranian parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani.

At the meeting, the Armenian leader expressed hope for Larijani’s visit to further stimulate bilateral relations.

As parliamentary speaker, in turn, noted, Armenia-Iran relations may serve as a solid basis for preservation of regional stability. Larijani emphasized the importance of North South expressway construction as a new line of cooperation.

Among other joint projects, the parties specifically noted the importance of construction of Iran- Armenia railway, hydropower station on Araks river and oil pipeline.
