Visa regime relaxation for representative of North Caucasia not to cause problems to Georgia’s security

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Georgian President’s Administration believes that the visa regime relaxation for residents of the North Caucasian republics will not cause any problems from the point of view security. Spokesperson of the Georgian President Manana Manjgaladze told a briefing that security is controlled on the border through other methods, while the visa regime is not related to it.

“Several days ago the President voiced the idea of a single Caucasus at the UN assembly. The visa regime relaxation is directly related to this matter. As for security, I would like to state that these matters are controlled through other methods, but not through issuance or non-issuance of visas,” said Manana Manjgaladze.

From October 13, a simplified visa regime will be introduced for residents of the North Caucasian republics, who will be able to stay in Georgia for 90 days without a visa, as per the October 11 decree of the Georgian President, Gruzia On-line reported.
