Bekor Papazyan: Armenia could become a regional center for the treatment of oncologic diseasesOctober 30, 2010 - 19:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - At National Competitiveness Foundation conference in Yerevan, the Foundation Director Bekor Papazyan briefed the guests on Tatev Revival project as well as perspectives for the development of tourism in Armenia. As he noted, development of healthcare in Armenia is also on Foundation’s agenda. “We plan to create an oncology center, also developing nuclear medicine for diagnostics and treatment of cancer.” Papazyan dwelled on Cyclotron therapy as an effective method in the treatment of cancer. “Armenia could become the regional center for the treatment of oncologic diseases, should the country invest in implementation of the technology in question,” the head of the Foundation stressed. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
