  Hague mayor refutes Azeri disinformationNovember 3, 2010 - 17:28 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Hague mayor Jozias van Aartsen has refuted Azeri media reports about the city administration’s decision not to inaugurate the Armenian Genocide memorial in Hague. “I have read a report alleging that I personally denied installation of the monument basing on signatures collected by the Azerbaijani-Turkish Union, NATCV. Actually, the signatures were never accepted. Besides, both sides were informed about the course of discussions through letters and phone calls,” van Aartsen stated. He reminded that the decision was taken in summer and emphasized that a monument in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide was inaugurated in Assen in 2001. The Armenian organizations in Netherlands expressed discontent with the Hague mayor’s office decision and are considering further steps.
