David Babayan: Azerbaijan will collapse if military balance is broken

PanARMENIAN.Net - The decreased number of ceasefire violations at the line of contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces can be conditioned by the regular army exercise in NKR, according to head of the central information department at the office of the Artsakh President.

“Azerbaijan calms down every time when military exercises are conducted in Artsakh. However, threats of war continue. Provoking incidents is characteristic of Baku,” David Babayan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

He also emphasized that Azerbaijan is cautious and doesn’t resort to measures which can lead to resumption of hostilities. “Azerbaijan will collapse if the military balance is broken,” he said.

Babayan did not exclude that ceasefire violations can increase on the threshold of the OSCE summit in Astana. -
