Depardieu calls for donations to assist Armenia, ArtsakhNovember 21, 2010 - 19:33 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In a video posted on YouTube, renowned French actor Gerard Depardieu called to assist Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh through donations raised in the framework of annual telethon organized by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. As freelance French journalist Jean Eckian told PanARMENIAN.Net the funds raised as of today this year are ten percent more than in 2009, when France collected 1.3 million euros. Depardieu paid his first-ever visit to Armenia in early September. He bowed to the Armenian Genocide Memorial and met with President Serzh Sargsyan. The actor was also awarded Karot festival prize.
