Complaints related to government procurement increase in ArmeniaNovember 25, 2010 - 15:42 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Head of the Department of Internal Financial Control and Methodology of Government Procurement at the RA Ministry of Finance, Karen Brutyan said that the number of complaints received by the Agency of Government Procurement at the RA Ministry of Finance concerning government procurement has considerably increased in 2009-2010. It is a positive trend, as entities want to protect their rights, Brutyan told a press conference on November 25. According to him, the Agency received around 100 complaints in 2010, half of which has been satisfied. Brutyan said that several thousand competitions for organization of government procurement were announced in 2010, with their amount totaling AMD 73.8bln, except for monopolistic government procurement, against AMD 110.2bln in 2009. At the same time, the share of one contractor totaled 9.2% (AMD 6.8bln) on an average out of the total amount of government procurement against 15.6% (AMD 17.2bln) in 2009.
