RA government approves concept for sports center creation at Lake SevanDecember 2, 2010 - 19:45 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During the December 2 sitting, the Armenian government approved a concept for creation of a sport center at Lake Sevan. The government instructed the RA Ministry of Economy to develop a business plan for the center creation within six months and to sign a relevant agreement with the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia. In the fourth quarter of 2010, AMD 19.25mln was allocated to the RA Ministry of Economy for the program on the sport center establishment, the RA governmental press service reported. The concept is basically aimed at establishing a unique high-altitude sports complex at Lake Sevan, which will be supplied with modern sport goods and gym equipment to provide high-quality sport, health and tourist services. The complex will become not only a world-known place for trainings, but also will serve as an Olympic sports base for Armenian sportsmen.
