EU to allocate 100 mln euros to Armenia

European Commission's Director for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia Gunnar Wiegand said that the EU will allocate 100 mln euros to Armenia to implement programs envisaged in the framework of negotiations on Association Agreement.

He said the EU will assist Armenia to develop energy, tourism, agriculture and other sectors of economy.

“We are hopeful to kick off negotiations on free trade zone creation next year,” Mr Wiegand said.
