European Parliament: there is no alternative to Karabakh conflict peaceful resolutionDecember 19, 2010 - 15:41 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On December 19, President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan received member of the European Parliament, Permanent Rapporteur for Armenia Tomasz Poręba and accompanying him officials. The Karabakh conflict settlement, situation in the region as well as bilateral relationships were in the focus of the meeting. The parties noted that the peaceful settlement of the conflict has no alternative and establishment of a full-fledged dialogue between all the parties to the conflict is needed to secure final stability. Mr. Sahakyan and Tomasz Poręba considered the role of Europe in maintaining peace and stability in the region to be important, noting at the same time the necessity of giving new impetus to the ties between Artsakh and different European structures. They noted the importance of visits to Nagorno Karabagh, what would substantially contribute to having a more precise picture of the situation in the republic and the whole region. Chairman of the NKR National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan and other officials participated in the meeting, the Central Information Department of the Artsakh President's Office reported.
