2010 was a politically intense year, according to head of the central information department of the Artsakh President office.

“However, despite numerous presidential meetings, no progress was registered,” David Babayan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

He noted that the main task in 2011 will be to maintain status quo.

Commenting on ceasefire violations, Babayan said Azerbaijan was “very active and provocative” during the current year.

As to possible developments, he said he doesn’t expect any significant breakthrough.

“The situation will be the same as in 2010,” Babayan concluded.
