Greater number of Armenians prefers to welcome in New Year outside Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - This year, Armenian citizens decided to celebrate Christmas and New Year holidays basically in Athens, Paris, Larnaca, Dubai and Tel Aviv.

Flights to these cities enjoyed the greatest demand among the population, Armavia air company told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

As for Georgia, the flights in this direction operated in a normal regime.

Spokesman for South Caucasus Railways CJSC Vahe Davtyan said that 451 passengers were transported via railway to Georgia from January 1-9, 2011.

This indicates that Armenians prefer to change the traditional attitude towards the New Year holidays, while local resorts are unaffordable: the cost of one day stay in Tsaghkadzor is AMD 30,000 on an average, not to mention Jermuk and other resorts.
