Oncological diseases growingly affect younger generations in Armenia

Executive Director of Armenian-American Health Center Khachanush Hakobyan said that due to unknown reasons oncological diseases not only affect greater number of people but also growingly affect younger generations both in Armenia and across the globe.

“Young girls, some of them aged 15-16, come to us with oncological problems,” Hakobyan told a press conference.

She added that genetic disposition, stresses, too early or delayed marriages are among basic reasons of oncological diseases.

Hakobyan noted that, according to statistical data, black women suffer from oncological diseases rarer compared to white women.

“If scientists manage to reveal reasons behind this phenomenon, medicine will record a great progress in the field,” concluded Hakobyan.
