Expert: Russian-Iranian economic cooperation may affect Iran-Armenia railroad construction

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Director of Noravank foundation Sevak Sarukhanyan said that the intensified Russian-Iranian economic cooperation, specifically the project on connecting the Iranian and Russian railway networks via Azerbaijan, may affect the project on Iran-Armenia railroad construction.

Iran-Armenia railroad is also aimed at connecting ports of the Persian Gulf to those of the Black Sea and Russia, while an alternative project will definitely affect its attractiveness, Sarukhanyan told a press conference in Yerevan.
