This bright and beautiful holiday is an occasion to address warm words and wishes to you – the heroic women of Artsakh who were fated to pass through numerous ordeals and hardships, be strong and firm and support the men in difficult moments,” the statement reads.

It went on saying: “We are sincerely proud of you, your courage and heroic deeds, wisdom and devotion, kindness and tenderness. Though we do not tell you about it on a daily basis, be confident we always feel and rate high your painstaking mission of being considerate mother, loving wife, selfless defender of the native hearth.

Once again I congratulate all of you and wish peace, robust health, happiness and great successes. Be always happy, charming and beautiful, surrounded by inexhaustible attention and care. Let God protect you and your families!”
