ARFD urges Armenian authorities to withdraw signature from protocolsMarch 24, 2011 - 14:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia must withdraw its signature from the protocols on normalization of relations with Turkey before April 24, ARF Bureau’s Hay Dat and Political Affairs Office Director stated. As Kiro Manoyan told a news conference in Yerevan on March 24, the protocols give Turkey a possibility to interfere into the Karabakh process. “Besides, on the threshold of the Armenian Genocide anniversary, the Turkish government dispatches diplomats to the U.S. to prevent any possibility of adoption of Armenian Genocide resolution. Armenia remains idle,” he said. According to Manoyan, the June 12 parliamentary election in Turkey will hardly have any impact on the Armenian-Turkish normalization. “Unless Armenia withdraws its signature, the brokers of Armenian-Turkish reconciliation will hope for ratification of the protocols,” he said.
