  Iran to fortify its land and air borders with new air defense basesMarch 29, 2011 - 17:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Iranian Border Police Commander Brigadier General Hossein Zolfaqari said that Iran will deploy new air defense bases at its borders to ensure safety of its borders and improve the air control. He added that electronic technologies were introduced in border units last year. “A master plan has been developed to enhance safety measures at the Iranian border, and it will be approved soon,” MEHR news agency quoted Zolfaqari as saying. On March 28, he inspected the area of Parsabad and Bilasuvar towns located at the Iranian-Azerbaijani border, Trend reported. Iran’s Parsabad has a 100km long border with Azerbaijan.
