Ovsepyan to take on Viramontes April 2

PanARMENIAN.Net - Boxing returns on April 2 night to the Inland Empire area of Southern California with a card featuring local prospects in competitive bouts. In the main event, welterweight prospect Arman Ovsepyan will face local fighter Alex Viramontes in a six round bout at the Finish Line Sports Grill in Pomona, CA.

The bout will headline a card presented by Ray Alcorta Boxing, in association with II Feathers and All World Promotions.

Ovsepyan, (9-1, 7 KO’s) from Moscow, Russia and now residing in the Los Angeles area, is coming off a four round unanimous decision over Francisco Rios Gil in December, fightnews.com reported.

The Armenian-born Ovsepyan has won his last nine bouts in a row since losing his professional debut, a four round majority decision to Eberto Medina in June of 2008. Saturday night will mark his third time fighting in the United States after mostly fighting in the United States and Finland.
