LIVE in Los Angeles, California in the co-feature bout of SHOWTIME’s Bantamweight Tournament Final ‘Winner Takes All.’ In the main event, WBC Silver bantamweight world champion Abner Mares (21-0-1, 13 KOs) of Mexico will face IBF bantamweight world champion Joseph ‘King Kong’ Agbeko (28-2, 22 KOs) of Ghana. “We trained really hard for this fight, we’re 100% and we’re ready for Darchinyan,” Perez told fightnews.com. “I know he’s a very strong fighter and a very good fighter. He’s the type of fighter that likes to make you fight his fight but that’s not going to happen, I’m going to fight my fight not his fight. Saturday, April 23rd everyone’s going to see a great fight and one that I know I’m going to win,” he said.
