Armenia to take up development of auto racingApril 21, 2011 - 16:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The President of Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) Jean Todt is currently on a working visit in Armenia.As FIA President noted at April 21 news conference, improvement in traffic management and development of auto racing in Armenia was discussed with Armenian officials. “FIA envisages a number of programs to assist sportsmen worldwide. A racing contest will be organised, with the winner to participate in an international contest,” Mr. Todt said. As Armenian Auto Racing Federation president noted with regret, it’s been 5 years since the last racing contest was organised in Armenia. He cited the lack of relevant equipment as a reason.
