According to Milliyet, the State Control Council was assigned to follow the investigation by a special decree of Turkish President. Over the last months, the Council representatives met with a number of people whose evidence could throw light on new details of the murder. As the Milliyet-published article said, the Council chairman periodically reports on the cuorse of the investigation to Turkish President.
