MEETING OF ARMENIAN-IRANIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN ON JANUARY 23-25

Questions concerning Iran-Armenia gas pipeline construction, joint Hydropower plant at Araks River, oil-gas pipeline in Meghri, the construction of Meghri-Kajaran tunnel will be discussed during the meeting of Iranian-Armenian intergovernmental commission, to be held in Yerevan on January 23-25.

As Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Armenia, on January 18-23 Yerevan will host the session of joint coordination commission, which is aimed at preparation for this meeting. Armenian Energy Minister Karen Galustian and Iranian Minister of Finance and Economy Hussein Namazi are heading the commission.

Five working committees are set up to organize the works. Commissions on trade-economic, energy, finance, banking, transport and communications questions include experts from both Armenia and Iran. -0-
