Arman Melikyan: uncertainty over ANC presidential candidate dangerous

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former presidential hopeful Arman Melikyan believes the uncertainty over the Armenian National Congress (ANC) candidate at oncoming presidential elections to be dangerous.

As he noted, Armenian Constitution prevents ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian from running for president for age reasons. However, Melikyan noted, neither ANC nor the authorities touch upon the issue.

According to Melikyan, ANC leader serves as a consolidating medium for opposition forces; at Congress, no other leader but Ter-Petrossian will be capable of uniting them.
