Armenian MP confident of stronger back-up for Sargsyan than for Aliyev

PanARMENIAN.Net - The prudence of people supporting the President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, is a strong rear at the threshold of the Kazan meeting, according to member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), head of standing parliamentary committee on financial-credit, budgetary and economic affairs Gagik Minasyan.

“In the course of complicated talks, it is important for the head of the state to be supported by the nation, what cannot be said about Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev,” he said, reminding of the recent protests of the opposition in Baku.

The MP added that the Armenian President has triggered a political dialogue which will help strengthen Armenia’s positions in talks for the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement.

The trilateral presidential meeting is scheduled for June 25 in Kazan. Experts do not exclude that a certain document on Karabakh conflict settlement will be signed.
