  Poll: social issues focus of Armenians’ concern  June 30, 2011 - 14:28 AMTPanARMENIAN.Net - Today, Armenian society is more concerned over social issues rather than political ones, according to the head of Sociometer sociological center. As Aharon Adibekyan told a news conference in Yerevan, when asked what would their actions be if elected a president, 59.5% of respondents said they’d solve social issues, 15.2%- social and economy issues, 11% would settle governmental and legal problems, and only 3% said they’d deal with political issues. “World crisis seriously affected 70% of Armenia’s population,” Adibekyan added. “In 2010, the number of low-income persons rose to 76% against 39% in 2008; the number of well provided for dropped to 26.4% against 54%,” he stressed.
