HSBC Bank Armenia awards children for best photos on ecology topic

PanARMENIAN.Net - HSBC Bank Armenia cjsc jointly with Children of Armenia Foundation summed up results of the photo exhibition, at which works of about 20 children in ecology topic were presented.

As the Bank’s press service reports, the exhibition and the ceremony of award benchmarked completion of a three-year program Environment Protection and development of women’s entrepreneurship in rural areas at the amount of $36 thousand, being implemented jointly by the bank and the foundation.

“The program aims to protect environment and curb from plastic bags,” the message says.

Since 2009, under the aegis of the Children of Armenia Foundation, thanks to female residents of Armavir rural communities, 2000 processed ‘proper bags’ were produced, which are meant to replace plastic bags presently used in the markets.

Moreover, actions are carried out on raising public awareness, within the framework of which 50 thous. visitors of HSBC Bank Armenia affiliates got involved in Antiplastic week regular action.
